Singapore Adventure with Premier Holidays
I recently travelled with Premier Holidays to Singapore – a city I had passed through before, but never truly visited. I absolutely loved it, and quickly discovered that it is so much more than just a stopover destination.
With only three days, we managed to fit in an incredible amount thanks to the excellent local guides Premier work with. We began with a morning city tour by coach – a complimentary perk when booking with Premier – which gave us a perfect introduction and a great sense of direction for the rest of our stay.

We first stayed in the Central Business District, close to Chinatown, before moving on to Sentosa Island. Among the highlights were the Tiong Bahru Heritage & Local Delicacies walking tour, including a stop at a hawker centre, offering a fascinating insight into the daily lives of Singaporeans. A vespa sidecar tour of the city was a particular favourite, while our brief visit to Gardens by the Bay left us wanting more – it deserves a full day in itself. We also enjoyed a trip to the beautiful Bird Paradise, part of the Singapore Zoo, ventured up to the SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands, and took the cable car ride between Sentosa and the city, before making time to relax by the beach and pools.

I visited several exceptional hotels to recommend to clients, including The Clan, Shangri-La Singapore, and the legendary Raffles in the city; and on Sentosa, Village Hotel Sentosa, Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, The Barracks, The Outpost, and Oasia Resort – truly something for everyone.
In addition to the guided tours, complete with hotel pick-up in modern, air-conditioned vehicles, we also explored using the city’s excellent transport. The MRT underground is straightforward once you get your bearings, and extremely affordable – ideal for those looking to experience the city on a budget. We also used Grab, Singapore’s version of Uber, which was equally efficient.
For me, the culinary scene was a real highlight. The hawker centres – from the more traditional markets in Tiong Bahru to the sleek, upscale version at Marina Bay Sands – offered a wonderful array of local dishes and a chance to experience everyday life. It’s also a fantastic way to enjoy authentic food at great value when taking a break from the luxury hotel dining experience.

In just three days we only scratched the surface of what Singapore has to offer, and it is a city I will certainly be returning to – next time, for longer.
