OUR TRIP TO MEXICO

The usual thought that runs through people’s mind when they hear Mexico is Sombreros, Tacos & Mariachi. There is so much more to Mexico than this. From its stunning beaches and lush green rainforests, to the vibrant cities where nightlife runs wild, there is something for everybody in this beautiful country.

On a recent trip to Mexico, I was a little worried that I would be bored as I like to stay active and enjoy activities, even when on holiday. I was lucky enough to have the chance to visit the AM Resort of Now Sapphire in Riviera Maya. After a direct flight from Manchester Airport and a short transfer from Cancun Airport, luxury awaited as I entered the gates of this resort.

I was greeted by a concierge from Preferred Club, who took my bags and lead me off to a private check in area.  Before I embraced the Preferred Club Junior Suite with the most spectacular Ocean View.

With three huge swimming pools, its own stretch of private beach and most of your water sports complimentary, this hotel had it all.

I had only been there a few hours and already never wanted to leave. There were 7 restaurants to choose from as well as 24-hour room service to assist with the hungry jet lag. I couldn’t fault the food one bit, even the buffet was cooked fresh in front of you!

Activities outside of the hotel came in abundance! Whilst out there, I was fortunate enough to be able to experience swimming with Manatees in Xel-Ha, a natural waterpark where they give you a life jacket, a snorkel set and off you go and I also got to zip line through the rainforest at night when visiting Xplor (Xplor Fuego is the night time).

I came face to face with Whale Sharks in the Caribbean Sea and hang out with pirates at Captain Hook Pirate & Dinner Show, a great interactive show where the whole family can hunt for treasure. What was great about all the excursions, is that they are all inclusive, so once you were inside there was no need to worry about money for food.

My advice to anybody who is looking to visit this iconic nightclub would be to pay for the VIP option. This entitles you to free premium drinks from 10pm – 3am with a VIP balcony seat for the whole of the night.

Central Cancun also offers a Hard Rock Café and a Señor Frogs, both steps away from Coco Bongo’s.  There are also many other smaller nightclubs to dance away into the early hours.

Overall, Mexico was one of my favourite destinations that I have visited. The culture and wildlife that inhabit this amazing location is second to none. Mexico is a must for anybody who likes luxury, relaxation, activity, great food and a bespoke holiday. The best part about my trip? It was all booked through Deva Travel at an unbeatable price, even all the excursions!

Before I went to Romania, I really didn’t know much about it except for the Dracula myth. What I found was a country brimming with incredible natural beauty, fascinating history and picture book towns. Our first day we arrived late into Bucharest. Though we were tired, the transfer to our hotel was quick because the […]
